Hello and welcome! My name is Alana Yoffee and I am the owner and instructor of Five B. Studio. I am an alum of the Fashion Institute of Technology, with a BS in Production Management and a patternmaking certificate. I have been sewing since I was 10 years old and a sewing instructor for 8 years. I have previously worked with studios in Pittsburgh, PA and New York City, as well as serving as a tutor at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

I currently work in the fashion industry and have worked at many large corporations such as Ralph Lauren, J. Crew, and Madewell in production and product management. However, my primary passion has always been teaching sewing. I created Five B. Studio to bring the joys and passion of sewing to kids, teens, and adults in the 5 boroughs.

I am well versed in garment patternmaking and construction, as well as handbag patternmaking and construction. Sewing can be taught and enjoyed by anyone, including kids as young as five years old!
